CSU TSP

The California State University (CSU) Dual Admission program is called Transfer Success Pathway (TSP). The TSP guarantees future CSU admission to recent high school graduates entering a California community college who are committed to transferring within three years.

This program gives students clearer direction and greater confidence on their path to a four-year degree. Students can use a CSU Transfer Planner to plan for transfer to the CSU.

Eligibility

The TSP program is for first-time, first-year California community college students who meet one of the following requirements:

  1. Graduated high school within the last year, and
  2. Never attended community college.

TSP Benefits

CSU TSP applicants will:

  • Enter into an agreement with one CSU and receive guaranteed admission to the degree program and campus of your choice (based on eligible majors at each CSU).
    • To maintain this guaranteed admission, students must complete either an Associate Degree for Transfer or established courses of transfer at a community college within 3 years
  • Receive personalized guidance from CSU representatives to create an educational plan to help you transfer in three years or less.
  • Map out your coursework using the CSU Transfer Planner portal to ensure you're on track for your degree.

CSU TSP Deadline: September 30th

UC Dual Admissions

The UC Dual Admission program supports students who want to transfer to a UC by granting a conditional admission to a participating campus.

Who can participate?

Freshman applicants are selected for Dual Admission. If you received the invitation, you’ve been selected for UC Dual Admission!

What are the benefits of participating in the Dual Admission program?

Dual Admission is a conditional admission guarantee to a UC campus with a Transfer Admission Guarantee program. Participants are offered extra support from UC while they fulfill their transfer requirements.

Why does UC have Dual Admission?

UC is committed to supporting and expanding access to UC. The Dual Admission program is designed to help applicants become students!

Requirements

Open to any California resident high school senior who applied for freshman admission and meet the following criteria:

  • Has applied but not been admitted to a UC campus
  • Has a 3.0 UC GPA at the time of application
  • Is missing one or more A-G subject requirements at the time of high school graduation; and
  • Is graduating from a California high school

*Students have until the specified deadline to opt into the program

Once a student opts into the program, they are required to select a UC campus prior to beginning their first semester at a California Community College.

Once enrolled at a California Community College, a student can change their major; however, if they switch their major that is not available under the UC Dual Admissions agreement at their chosen UC campus, then the student will no longer have guarantee of admission.

UC TAP/TAG

Students who are interested in transferring to a UC may file a transfer admission guarantee (TAG) after completing a specified number of transferable units with a minimum GPA, as determined by the transfer institution. Students can utilize the transfer admission planner (TAP) to start planning their future at a UC.
