How do I make a donation?
Financial Donations
Monetary donations can be submitted in the form of cash, checks, online, or payroll deduction. Cash can only be accepted if dropped off at the Business Office or the Office of Student Life.
Make checks payable to Bakersfield College Foundation with "Renegade Pantry" in the Memo section

Payroll Deductions
Bakersfield College or KCCD Employees can contribute to the Renegade Nexus Pantry monthly through payroll deduction. Please complete the Renegade Pantry Employee Payroll Deduction Form and select the 'Renegade Pantry' as the recipient. Deductions will occur the following month.
An accessible, print-only Employee Payroll Deduction Form is also available.
Online Donations
You can donate online at the Bakersfield College Foundation website on the Donate Now page.
In-Person Donations
The Renegade Pantry gladly accepts any non-perishable/ perishable food, hygiene items, business attire, monetary, school/office supplies, and/or similar donations. Folks can donate directly to our pantry during our open hours. For the latest hours, view the Renegade Pantry webpage.
If you would like to claim the donation on their taxes, it is best to drop the items off at the Office of Student Life to receive a form to record the donation.
Based on student feedback, the Renegade Pantry endeavors to offer the campus community healthy food options. When considering making your donation to the pantry, please keep in mind this list of preferred items:
- Canned protein
- Cereal (under 7 grams of sugar, at least 3 grams of fiber)
- Dried fruit with no added sugar
- Fruit canned in water or juice (not syrup)
- Fruit preserves
- Instant oatmeal
- Low-sodium soups
- Nuts
- Peanut butter
- Seeds/trail mixes
- Unsweetened applesauce
- Whole grain granola bars
- Other healthy items that can be distributed to individuals
