Articulation

The Articulation Program, based at Bakersfield College, is an integral part of Career and Technical Education and encourages high school students to continue technical training and education at the college level by offering college credit for high school articulated courses. Articulation provides a smooth transition from high school to a certificate, associate degree or transfer at the community college by eliminating duplication of course work.

How do I receive articulated college credit?

Students enrolled in an approved articulated course will be instructed by their teacher to complete a Bakersfield College enrollment application as well as creating an account with Career And Technology Education Management Application (C.A.T.E.M.A.).  Students must successfully satisfy all required competencies earning a final grade of "A", "B" or “C” to be eligible for the articulated credit. Courses must be posted to the transcript within 3 years of course completion.
