The 2025-2026 General Bakersfield College Scholarship application will be open from October 1st, 2024 - February 1st, 2025. Check out our External Scholarship listings for additional opportunities outside of BC (deadlines and criteria vary).

Bakersfield College (BC) is proud to offer nearly 300 unique scholarship and award opportunities totaling around $500,000 to its students each year thanks to the generous support of the Bakersfield College Foundation and numerous private donors. Applying for scholarships at BC is easy and done completely online through the KCCD Scholarship Portal.
New/Incoming Students
- Apply for admissions online! You must be a BC student to apply for scholarships.
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application to be considered for more scholarships! Required for need-based scholarships only.
- Log into the KCCD Scholarship Portal using your BC issued email address and password. This is provided after you have applied for admissions.
- Complete the General Application and be matched with hundreds of potential scholarships!
Returning Students
- Log into the KCCD Scholarship Portal using your BC issued email address and password.
- Complete the General Application and be matched with hundreds of potential scholarships!
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application to be considered for more scholarships! Required for need-based scholarships only.
