Email Signature Guidelines
Standard Email Signature
The Bakersfield College email signature is an essential extension of the college’s brand identity. It ensures that all communications appear consistent, professional, and aligned with our institutional values.
A standardized signature strengthens the college’s reputation by presenting a unified image across all departments. It provides clear, essential contact information while maintaining a polished and professional appearance in every email sent on behalf of the college.
This signature should be used as the default for all emails to reflect Bakersfield College’s commitment to excellence in communication.

Departmental Email Signature
For emails sent on behalf of a department rather than an individual, a standardized department signature ensures consistency and professionalism. This version includes the department name and general contact information while maintaining the Bakersfield College brand identity.
This format should be used for shared department email accounts or communications where a specific sender is not needed. It provides recipients with clear, relevant contact details while keeping the signature clean and professional.

Mobile Email Signature
Due to limitations in the Outlook mobile app, the standard email signature format cannot be fully supported on mobile devices. Specifically, the app does not allow alt text for images, making the logo inaccessible. To ensure compliance with accessibility standards, the mobile version of the email signature will not include any images or logos.
This version should only be used when sending emails from a mobile device. When possible, emails should be sent from a desktop or web version of Outlook to maintain the full standard signature format.
