How Faculty Can Order Books with eCampus
The Bakersfield College textbook vendor is eCampus. The Bookstore Advisory Committee will advise you of deadlines for providing your orders for each semester. General deadlines:
- Summer semester - March
- Fall semester - April
- Spring semester - October
There are different processes for books and supplies versus course packs and lab manuals. Course packs and lab manual procedure is below ordering books and supplies.
Ordering Books & Supplies
- Visit eCampus Ordering page.
- Login with your BC username and password.
- Click "Submit Adoptions."
- Click "My Courses."
- Click the course you wish to edit. You my use the search to locate a specific course, or change a semester using the filters under the search bar.
- Click "+ Add Adoption" to insert the ISBN/UPC/Product. If your are using an OER book
or no textbook, go to Step 7.
- Note: you can find ISBN by using the search catalog button which opens the catalog in a new window. Use the search to locate a specific text title, ISBN, author, etc., then return to the adoption page.
- Select importance and choose if a new text is required.
- Click add adoption.
- Go to Step 8.
- For OER or other circumstances, choose a radio button for your class' circumstance.
You may choose "Textbooks are not required for this course" or "Open Educational Resources
OER and/or library content required for this course."
- Note: if you use an OER or zero-cost book, you must also fill out the Textbook Designation Form.
- Add a course comment if necessary. When adopting an OER, you may wish to provide the link to the zero-cost textbook.
- Click Save.
Ordering Course Packs & Lab Manuals
These are printed in black and white only and are free to students. Must be picked up by the faculty member to distribute to the students. You do NOT have to order Course Packs/Lab manuals through eCampus.
- Submit the Course Pack Ordering Form.
