Bakersfield College has a variety of student clubs and organizations to benefit student's professional, personal, and academic growth. All students are encouraged to join or start a student org to enrich their experience at Bakersfield College and seed their growth in the Renegade Community!

How to Join (or Start!) a Student Organization

Want to start a new student organization? The process is easy! All you need to do is recruit 3 interested students, obtain an advisor, and file a Student Organization Registration form after reading about the Registration process. If you have questions about starting a new club, contact Nicole Alvarez nicole.alvarez@bakersfieldcollege.edu, Student Life Program Director & Student Organizations Advisor.

Club Advisor Drop In Hours

Nicole Alvarez holds virtual office hours for students with questions about organizations and clubs - no appointment necessary.

Club advisors, current club/organization members, leaders and any student looking to get involved in BC Club life are all welcome to stop by Mondays from 11 AM - 12 PM and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
