An international student is someone applying to Bakersfield College either with an F-1 visa or with the intent to obtain an F-1 visa, issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) department of the United States government.

Admission Process and Required Documents: Please review the information below to understand the admission process to Bakersfield College as a full-time international student. Bakersfield College is required by U.S. government regulations to collect and review the materials listed below in order to issue the immigration documents necessary to obtain a student visa.

International Student Application Packet

Applying to BC's International Student Program can be completed online. Students submit application documents in one email with attachments directly to internationalstudents@bakersfieldcollege.edu. Please follow this step-by-step guide to complete your enrollment.

Apply as a NEW International Student

• Complete ISS Application Packet: Form A-103 Check List
• Processing Application Fee ($50)
• The application fee can be made with a credit card, wallet or a direct debit from a bank account. We do not accept cash and it is not refundable. Please visit the International Student Fee Online Payment Form to pay your Application Processing Fee.
• If student is under the age of 18: Assigned Guardian Statement Form & Minor Authorization Consent

Apply as a Transfer Student

• Complete ISS Application Packet: Form A-103 Check List
• Processing Application Fee ($50)

• Copy of current I-20
