WESTEC

Bakersfield College partners with WESTEC to provide classes and certificate training in the Criminal Justice Field. WESTEC offers the Correctional Officers Core Academy (seven weeks), P.C. 832 Arrest/Control (forty hours) and P.C. 832 Firearms Training (twenty-four hours). These courses get students directly into the workforce.

WESTEC also provides numerous Bakersfield College certificate courses that help current criminal justice employees to satisfy their annual training requirements or to enhance their skill/knowledge in the criminal justice field.
