Artist Lecture and reception Thursday, September 7th, 2:30PM-7:00PM

The Wylie and May Louise Jones Gallery is excited to present Monte, a solo exhibition by London-based, Venezuelan born artist Jaime Gili. This body of work represents a conceptual focus on the tangible world around us by way of abstract representations. The paintings reflect a long history of Latin American geometric abstraction that are meant to be experienced in a unique, contemporary display. The colors and textures of the work produce an experience meant to engage the viewer in contemplation of a green space, such as a garden or jungle. Personal interpretation, perspective, and history will all play a vital role in the perception of this unique installation.
