Student Services at Work 

Bakersfield College Student Government Association (BCSGA) Student Services Program enhances the student academic experience at Bakersfield College. A Take full advantage of your BCSGA Student Services Program by getting involved in co-curricular activities. Funds collected from the BCSGA Student Services Sticker fee are used to support entertaining, diverse, and educational events around campus and student organizations. Other signature BCSGA events include the Distinguished Speaker Series, student planners, homecoming and traditional events, diversity activities, student forums, Health Fair, free food, student organization funding, leadership workshops, and so much more. These events are a wonderful way to meet new students while having fun on campus. Submit your ideas to studentlife@bakersfieldcollege.edu.

BCSGA has also incorporated the Kern Value Card (KVC) student discount sticker into the program to maintain and strengthen existing programs and establish innovative programs that will enhance the student academic experience. Bakersfield College students are eligible to receive a BCSGA Student Services Sticker Program or new validation sticker when paid the $15 fee each fall and spring semesters. To receive your KVC sticker, bring your BC Renegade Card student ID to the Office of Student Life during regular office hours, in the Campus Center. BCSGA Student Services stickers are issued on the same day.

Students are eligible to waive the program fee. Refunds will only be disbursed within the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters. To complete an appeal, please come to the Office of Student Life. However, those that waive the fee will be placed on a list of those students ineligible to take advantage of the many BCSGA-sponsored events, free swag, KVC sticker, and other incentives.

For just $15 per semester, BC Students can save more than $66.50 in discounts. To receive your BCSGA Student Services sticker, visit the Office of Student life to take a new photo for your current Renegade Card. You can pick up your sticker at the same time!

You can start using your BCSGA Student Services on the same day. Proceeds go towards funding entertaining, diverse, and educational events around campus.

Appeals

Students may decline the BCSGA Student Services. However, students who waive the fee are placed on a list of students ineligible to take advantage of many BCSGA-sponsored events. To fill out an appeal form requesting a refund, please visit the Office of Student Life, Campus Center. Refunds are only disbursed within the first two weeks of the fall and spring semester. Appeals for the current semester will not be heard after the second week of the current semester.
