BC Excited to Welcome Back Students for Spring 2025 Semester

The spring semester is starting, and Bakersfield College is excited to welcome students back to campus for the Spring 2025 Semester! The official first day of instruction is Saturday, January 18th, for weekend courses, and Tuesday, January 21st, for weekday courses. The first week of the semester will feature several “Welcome Week” events and activities that aim to provide new and returning students an opportunity to connect with fellow Renegades, explore different programs, and get acclimated to campus life.
During the first week of classes, there will be welcome tents throughout the campus that will have representatives available to help students find their classes, provide info, and on select days, will have snacks and drinks available! Welcome Week activities will include an afternoon of video games and board games, a karaoke night, paint n’ sip, the monthly Farmer’s Market, and more! On Wednesday, January 22, the Office of Student Life will host ‘Campus Rush’ at the Renegade Crossroads, where students will have the opportunity to learn more about student involvement, leadership opportunities, campus life, and how to stay engaged during the academic year. This semester will also feature a full slate of athletic events, including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s baseball, women’s softball, men’s and women’s tennis, and many more. We are excited to welcome back students, faculty, and staff for the Spring 2025 Semester. There will be several opportunities to participate in fun activities and student involvement. We hope you can join us for all the events and activities – we do our best to provide a fun and welcoming atmosphere so BC can be a place where each student connects and thrives!
