BC's Transfer Pathways Hosting Transfer Day 2024

The Bakersfield College Transfer Pathways Department is excited to invite all Renegades to Transfer Day 2024! Transfer Day welcomes several college and university representatives to BC’s Panorama campus to promote their institutions and to help guide students through the transfer process. As the national application for Fall 2025 admission season begins in October, this event presents an incredible opportunity for students to gather information and evaluate their academic options.
More than 40 colleges and universities will be on hand, including California State University (CSU), University of California (UC), private institutions, and out-of-state universities. Representatives will be available to answer questions about admission requirements, housing and financial aid opportunities, degree programs, and more.
All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend! The purpose of Transfer Day is to help students progress toward their educational goals and allow faculty to explore and become familiar with different academic options that may be of interest to their students.
“It is a concerted effort for the Transfer Pathways Department and the colleges and universities to meet students where they are at,” says Ben Perlado, the Director of Transfer Pathways. “In some cases, students may not have the opportunity to meet or speak with a college or university representative, or the means to visit the campus directly; Transfer Day at Bakersfield College provides that opportunity for the students.”
