Ballet Folklorico Ritmo y Sabor de Bakersfield College Presents "Alegria Mexicana"

This summer, the vibrant spirit of Mexican culture will come alive at Bakersfield College as Ballet Folklorico Ritmo y Sabor de Bakersfield College, in partnership with Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar proudly presents "Alegria Mexicana." Over two exciting days, attendees will immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Mariachi music and folklorico dancing, culminating in a grand performance that promises to captivate and inspire.
On Friday, July 26, from 9:00AM to 3:00PM, Bakersfield College will be a hub of creativity and learning. The day will be filled with dynamic workshops where participants of all skill levels can explore the intricacies of Mariachi music and the graceful art of folklorico dancing. These workshops, which continue on Saturday, July 27, from 9:00AM to 12:00PM, are designed to provide an authentic and enriching experience, guided by some of the most respected names in the field.
Leading the Mariachi workshops is the acclaimed Mariachi Garibaldi De Jaime Cuellar, a group renowned for their passionate performances and commitment to musical excellence. Meanwhile, the folklorico workshops will be under the expert tutelage of Miguel Pena, a master of traditional Mexican dance.
The festivities will reach their peak on Saturday, July 27, from 7:00PM to 10:00PM with the grand show, "Alegria Mexicana." This spectacular event will feature a dazzling performance by Ballet Folklorico Ritmo y Sabor de Bakersfield College, accompanied by the live, soul-stirring music of Mariachi Garibaldi De Jaime Cuellar. Adding to the magic of the evening, the talented group Dulce Armonia will perform live, offering a melodic journey through Mexico's musical landscape.
In a special highlight, all workshop participants will have the unique opportunity to perform on stage, both opening and closing the grand show, showcasing the skills and passion they've developed over the course of the workshops.
