BC Unites with OpenClassrooms to Unveil Tech Apprenticeship Opportunities at Exclusive Meet & Greet Event

Bakersfield College and OpenClassrooms have teamed up to host a Meet & Greet event aimed at enlightening employers about the exciting prospects of tech apprenticeships and the streamlined process to hire student apprentices.
The event is scheduled for March 21st at Bakersfield College - Campus Center (CC) 231, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. This event will provide employers with an invaluable opportunity to delve deeper into OpenClassrooms' registered apprenticeship programs. Attendees will gain insights into the process of hiring a Bakersfield student or alum as an apprentice, explore available funding opportunities, and gather comprehensive information about the four in-demand apprenticeship programs:
- Data Analyst
- Digital Marketer
- Help Desk Technician
- Application Developer
What sets this event apart is the chance for employers to move beyond exploration and directly engage in the hiring process. If employers are interested in pursuing the hiring of an apprentice, they can immediately sign up to attend "ApprentiTech Connect," a job matching event where employers interview Bakersfield students and alumni. This specialized event will facilitate one-on-one interviews between employers and 4-6 pre-qualified potential candidates for the apprenticeship programs. Each interview rotation will last 15 minutes, ensuring a focused and efficient process.
The Meet & Greet serves as the initial step in acquainting local employers with the transformative potential of tech apprenticeships.
