Bakersfield College hosted their annual VetFest celebration in honor of veterans on November 15th, 2023 at BC’s Panorama Campus. This event is dedicated to continuing a tradition of showing honor and gratitude to all current and past members of the Armed Forces who have given their time and risked their lives in defense of our country’s freedoms.

Veterans and attendees had the opportunity to enjoy the new campus Veterans Plaza, music, food, games, prizes, and a vendor fair including Operation Second Chance, Bakersfield Vet Center, the Wounded Heroes Fund, and many more.

“I’m thrilled to be able to welcome everyone back for VetFest this year! Bakersfield College is so proud to support our veterans and their families in their transition to civilian life, and we are especially proud to support their career and education goals.  We were excited to see both familiar and new faces this year at VetFest. It’s just a small piece of what we do here on campus to support veterans, but I look forward to this event every year as I anticipate all of the patriotism and joy on campus.” said Jenny Frank, Manager of BC’s Veteran Services and Programs.
