BC’s Golden Empire Drum & Bugle Corps Performs at DCI MidCal Champions Showcase

On Friday, July 7th, BC’s Golden Empire Drum & Bugle Corps performed at Fresno State University in the DCI MidCal Champions Showcase. Our drum corps is part of Drum Corps International in the Open Class which is comprised of 18 different corps throughout the state.

Golden Empire’s performance wowed the audience and earned the group 3rd place in Open Class with a score of 58.7, just behind Gold from San Diego, and the B corps of the world-renowned Blue Devils.

Golden Empire went on to perform the following day at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, where they placed 2nd in Open Class with a score of 60.85, and again this week at the Resound event hosted by BC at Memorial Stadium on July 11th. The group has several more performances to come throughout the summer, and we wish Golden Empire the best of luck as they prepare for the SoCal Classic finals!
