Renegades Embrace Pride Month with Exciting Lineup of Events
The Renegades community is buzzing with excitement as Pride Month approaches. With a series of engaging events lined up, the Office of Student Life invites everyone to join in the celebrations and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
The festivities kick off on Monday, June 12th, with the "Posting Your Pride" event at the Office of Student Life. Renegades are encouraged to grab colorful post-it notes and share why they are proud. These heartfelt messages will be added to a vibrant pride flag collage displayed in the office throughout the month.
On Monday, June 26th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Renegade Crossroads will be abuzz with the "Tie Dye Pride" event. Participants can let their colors shine by creating unique tie-dye socks. It's a perfect opportunity to showcase individuality and celebrate diversity.
As the month progresses, the Pride festivities continue on Wednesday, June 28th. The "Sweet & Salty Pride Panel" invites attendees to the Fireside Room from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Savor the delightful combination of pride snow cones and pride popcorn while engaging with a diverse panel sharing their experiences.
Furthermore, the Lavender Initiatives Team will be present at community events beyond the campus boundaries. On June 24th, be sure to catch them at Oleander Pride in Beale Park at 9 AM, and on June 29th, they will be at Art After Dark in the Bakersfield Museum of Art from 7-9 PM.
Renegades are thrilled to share these exciting events with everyone in the community. These celebrations offer an opportunity to foster understanding, acceptance, and unity while recognizing the importance of diversity. Come join the Renegades in their commitment to inclusivity and make this Pride Month memorable!
