About Keith

Before joining Bakersfield College, Keith was Vice President of Small Business Banking for many local banks.  In addition, he has owned and operated two insurance agencies and currently owns a leadership development firm.

Due to his passion for education, in 2010 Keith was elected to the Panama Buena Vista Union School Board where he is currently serving in his fourteenth year. He possesses an MBA from National University, an M.S. Degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and a B.S. in Accounting from California State University Fresno. In addition, he is a graduate of the prestigious University of Washington’s Pacific Coast Banking School.

Engaged in the community, he is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra, the Housing Authority of Kern County, and the Kern County School Boards Association.  In 2020, he published his first book, Five Pillars, and is working on a second book.  In addition, he loves to golf, read, and is a self-proclaimed expert in 1970s R&B music.
