2025 Panorama Invitational
The Panorama Invitational will run from February 3rd to March 6th, 2025.
Bakersfield College, CA is thrilled to announce the opening reception for the 2025 Panorama Invitational, a juried exhibition showcasing the exceptional talents of Kern County high school students. The event will be held on Thursday, February 6th, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Wylie and Mary Louise Jones Gallery, located inside the Bakersfield College Library.
This annual exhibition highlights the creative ingenuity of young artists, with works selected by their teachers for outstanding craftsmanship and artistic interpretation. Featuring a diverse range of media, including painting, sculpture, and multimedia creations, the Panorama Invitational provides a platform for emerging artists to share their perspectives and skills with the broader community.
The reception is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring family, friends, and art enthusiasts to celebrate the achievements of these talented students. Refreshments will be served, and the evening will offer an opportunity to meet the artists, view their work, and engage in a vibrant celebration of creativity.

Campus Parking
Visitors parking on campus are required to complete a guest parking request form. Please complete our Vendor & Special Guest Parking Request form. Once complete, your temporary permit must be displayed on your vehicle while on campus. The pass will also indicate the location(s) you have been approved to park.

Mission Statement
The Jones Gallery is committed to showing a diverse range of visual art produced by contemporary artists living and working outside of Kern County with annual shows devoted to the artworks of Bakersfield College art students, Kern County High School art students (The Panorama Invitational) and a biannual show of the work of the Bakersfield College Fine Arts Faculty.
