
The Bakersfield College football team received sanctions from the CCCAA (California Community College Athletics Association) and SCFA (Southern California Football Association). The team’s wins from the past two seasons were vacated, including the 2012 state championship title. The program also has been placed on probation and can not compete in the post-season during the 2013 season. Tejera Dial, Natalie O’Dwyer, Alicia Torres, Bevan Wemhoff and Evan Eggenberg advanced to the state track and field meet, which begins Friday at San Mateo College. Dial won the 800 meters. O’Dwyer took third in the 400 and Torres took sixth in the shot put. Wemhoff and Eggenberg will both compete in the high jump. Wemhoff took fourth, while Eggenberg took sixth.
