Be aware of all the marked exits from your area and building.
To activate the building alarm, pull the handle on the red alarm boxes.
When the building evacuation alarm is sounded or when you are ordered to leave by Public Safety and or college staff, walk quickly to the nearest marked exit and ask others to do the same.
Direct people with physical disabilities to elevator lobbies on second floors. Assist those with physical disabilities to exit the building on ground level floors.
Outside, proceed to a clear area that is at least 50 feet away from the affected building. Keep walkways clear for emergency vehicles.
To the best of your ability, and without re-entering the building, assist Public Safety and college staff in their attempt to determine that everyone has evacuated safely.
An Incident Command Post or an Emergency Operations Center may be set up. Keep clear of the Incident Command Post/EOC unless you have important information to report.
DO NOT RETURN TO A BUILDING UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO OR UNTIL THE ‘ALL CLEAR’ HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED.
