- Nancy Guidry grew up in Southern California and attended Antelope Valley College and Santa Monica College before transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned both a bachelor's degree in anthropology and a master's degree in library science from UCLA. Before coming to Bakersfield College in March 2000, Nancy worked for more than twenty years as a reference and young adult librarian in public libraries in California and Arizona.
