Pediatric Nursing - 1.5
Provides a foundation for pediatric nursing using growth and development concepts as a framework for presenting problems and special concerns of the pediatric client. Communicaiton, anticipatory guidance, response to hositalization, legal and ethical issues and health care of pediatric clients are discussed. Prerequisite: Completion of first and second semesters of ADN/VN program or evaluation by program director for skills and knowledge, concurrent enrollment in VNRS B97LV. Hours: 26 lect. Ofered: F. S. CCS: Occupational Education. Transferable: CSU and private colleges. Note: not open to students who have taken the equivalent course, NURS B6.
