The focus of this course is to prepare the nurse assistant for certification by the State of California as an entry-level worker on a health care team. The curriculum is structured to provide theory and practical applications on skills needed to function as a nurse assistant. Correlated laboratory experiences are provided with emphasis on providing basic nurse assistant care to residents in a long term care setting.
