Introduction to Women in American History - 3
Survey of the history of women in America from the pre-colonial period to 1900. Emphasis is on the social, economic, political, and multicultural facets of women’s history in the US and includes both the commonalities and diversities of women’s roles, the use of gender as an analytic category, and the specific significance of women in the evolution of the major contours of US history with particular attention upon California and the American Southwest.
