American Sign Language II - 4
A continued study of the fundamentals of American Sign Language. Emphasizes grammatical structure, vocabulary, conceptual accuracy, placement of signs, fingerspelling and numerical proficiency. Introduces the spectrum of sign language, idiomatic expression, and topical areas relating to deaf culture. Outside assignments require practice with video tape programs. Prerequisite: ASL B1. Hours: (108) 3 lect, 3 lab. Offered: F, S. CCS: Occupational Education. Transferable: UC, CSU and private colleges.
