Principles and techniques of creating original illustrations for print. Computer drawing and painting techniques used to create illustrations in various styles such as editorial, technical, scientific, informational, personal, etc. Emphasis placed on graphic problem solving and the importance of concept, from roughs to finished illustration. Typography will be considered as an integral element to most illustration. Prerequisite: ART B20 or equivalent. Hours: (108) 3 lect, 3 lab. CCS: Occupational Education.
