The general purpose of the program in Business Administration at the university and state college is twofold. First, it is organized to help students develop a broad understanding of our economy and our society in order to serve as a basis for responsible administrative and executive positions in business
and government. Second, it offers the opportunity for students to acquire skills in specialized and professional types of employment.
Since requirements vary, the current catalog of the chosen college or university should be consulted for specific requirements of the School of Business Administration.
This suggested program will meet most of the lower division requirements at the California State colleges and universities as well as fulfilling the major requirements for the Associate in Arts Degree from Bakersfield College.
